Stylish Surveillance with Panasonic
Written by: Sven Kilian on February 5, 2006 at 9:40 pm | In 01 Technology & Gadget Trends | No CommentsHow do you keep all these precious gadgets secure in your warehouse? When I saw this one first, I thought that‘s a cool lamp for my apartment entrance, but way too expensive (US5200$) just for an interior lamp. The "WV-CW960" from Panasonic System Solutions is a security camera that can be installed outdoor. It zooms up the image up to 300 times and has a digital flip function to follow moving objects. Well, if you have some extra cash you might take it for your next motorhome trip. Appearing on the market from February 1.

Konami Otoizm - yo-yo with a display?
Written by: Sven Kilian on February 5, 2006 at 9:37 pm | In 01 Technology & Gadget Trends | No CommentsWanna new pet, which listens to your favorite music and dances with you? When you connect "Otoizm" (2.2 inch diameter) from Konami to your music player, a character starts to grow according to the genre of music that you listen to. It grows by listening to the music, memorizes phrases, composes and lets you listen to it. If your friend has also one, it‘s time for a dancing session! If you want to have more pets, no worries. Record your girl friend‘s voice, for example, then another character "Kotobaizm" appears and plays with you. It is one of the popular products that I discovered by strolling around at Toy Forum 2006 in Tokyo. To get this pet in your hand, you have to wait till June. It does not even appear on the Konami HP yet.

Coden Endoscope - Adventure Trip to a Micro World
Written by: Sven Kilian on February 5, 2006 at 9:27 pm | In 01 Technology & Gadget Trends | No CommentsThe president of a Japanese electrical manufacturer wanted to see the inside of his ear while he was cleaning it and asked the product development department to invent sth like that. The result was the Earscope S, that was launched a few years ago with a rather bad resolution though serving the purpose. The product was developed further over the years and the outcome along other endoscope products is the "Earscope GXL", a high–end model for household use with a 7400 pixel image. Through the finder with a dimmable light, you can see the inside of your ear 4 times of the original size. This whole earcleaning trend in Japan went as far as now actual earcleaning parlors are opening around Tokyo with Coden Video Earscopes plugged into a monitor and the customer relaxingly watching his ear being cleaned by professional hand. As for the home model, using the included light guide instead of the earspoon, you can also enter to a adventure world of your car engine, computer, fax machine etc. Price is about US172$.
