Final Fantasy VII potion - The Test
Written by: Michael Keferl on September 16, 2007 at 4:56 am | In 02 Marketing & Ad Trends |Just a quick word to the foreign otaku who have been craving a taste of the very limited Final Fantasy VII 10th anniversary potion we blogged about HERE. Well, I got my hands on some in Akihabara, even as they sold out on the first day.

The verdict? Well, the bottle’s pretty cool. I suspect I should have chilled it first instead of drinking it right there in the store. Hmm…how many times can they repeat this little video game/drink experiment and sell em’ out every time? Marketing stuff like this to geeks is too easy…

But you don’t say how it was…
I remember the FFXII one tasted pretty revolting. But I did recover 100HP so I can’t complain too much.

well, if I didn’t read the text, I would have thought it was a new sex toy.

^ okay thats gross. anyways this is a good marketing idea and has been done for other games. resident evil had antidote, street fighter had dragon punch, even mario had one called 1up… but when the hell are they gonna make the most genius marketing idea of all time? the mega man energy tank!!!

How did it taste? I heard the XII potion was a tea-like taste. I just want to know if it was the same drink. I like the VII bottle, the Shin-Ra logo is pretty cool, wish I could try some
