More cool Japanese tobacco marketing
Written by: Michael Keferl on October 7, 2006 at 1:38 am | In Marketing & Ad Trends |Yeah, we’ll admit to having a bit of an infatuation with Japanese tobacco advertising. Yes, we understand smoking is bad, and consider it every time we buy a pack (daily), but we’re suckers for good marketing as much as we are for quality Turkish blends.
Lucky Strike is, far and away, the best tobacco marketer in Japan. The last couple of years have been full of cool, artistic, and relatively non-cheesy ways of selling coffin nails. While they haven’t yet matched our favorite promotions, they still continue to do great things with box themes. This latest promotion centers around F1 Racing, and the packs are completely branded around the theme, along with a cool little racing-style nylon pouch that contains a two-pack purchase..
We’ll keep our eyes, ears, and lungs open for more developments.
