Taito Transceiver turns your mobile to a CB
Written by: Michael Keferl on November 5, 2007 at 3:22 am | In Technology & Gadget Trends |In one of my pathetically frequent trips to Akihabara, I stumbled up this little gem. The Transceiver from Taito turns your boring old mobile phone into a Convoy-worthy CB radio phone (dark sunglasses sold separately).

Possible uses:
* Election time phone campaigns
* Uyoku for calling their moms
* Calling in sick to your Teamster-related job

The trend aspect of this? Well, we’ve seen numerous gadgets like this that connect to mobiles to give an alternative talking method, but we’re yet to see ANYONE ever use them. You’d think that in the geek-heaven of Akihabara, where goods like this are sold a-plenty, you’d find at least one bold otaku willing to 10-4 his good buddy on one of these.
